     Project Management

Key projects

GreySky is committed to supporting the development of UK businesses and the UK economy. We are actively progressing projects to support business success, and to promote the enterprise development across the UK.

Business projects

GreySky’s expertise in strategic development and marketing has allowed us to support a wide range of projects and customers - from start-ups to Microsoft!

Business software

GreySky is founded on extensive experience in the development of marketing and product management strategies for IT products across a number of markets - from consumer to government.  Our expertise in the SME market has been developed with global market leaders, including BT and Sage.  GreySky’s projects include supporting Microsoft in the development of marketing strategies for SME business products.

Business launch

GreySky is committed to supporting new businesses of all types.  We have used our marketing and financial planning expertise to support a wide range of new businesses - from “Happy Hounds” dog crèche “Dan Bond” communication consultancy.  Our aim is to provide new businesses with a clear path to a successful business model - allowing them to succeed on their terms.

Enterprise projects

At GreySky, we are also committed to supporting the development of enterprise in the UK.  We see the support for new business development to be critical to the long term success of the UK economy, and we actively support a range of projects that we see as critical to enterprise development - from the rollout of next generation broadband services to mentoring new entrepreneurs.

Enterprise support

Supporting enterprise development is GreySky's basic purpose. In 2006 and 2007 we supported the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) programme in County Durham with our partners Viretec Consulting. We are now working with Viretec again, this time to support the BiG programme in Sheffield.

Mentoring

The direct support that mentoring can provide can be critical in helping new entrepreneurs navigate the inevitable highs and lows of starting their own business. GreySky strongly supports the use of mentoring as an integral element of its enterprise support projects, and also is pleased to support projects such as The Prince’s Trust and the Institute of Digital Innovation by providing mentoring support.

Rural broadband

GreySky is based in rural Northumberland - one of the  most challenging places in the UK for the rollout of broadband services.  We are actively developing projects to deliver broadband to the remote rural areas of Northumberland.

Broadband projects

The availability and effective use of broadband connectivity is a critical driver in the growth of the UK economy.  GreySky is supporting the development of broadband projects across the UK - in cities and remote rural areas.

BDUK

Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) has £530 million of funding for broadband projects across the UK - focusing on rural areas.  But accessing the funding is complex.  GreySky is supporting Stratford on Avon District Council in support of their bid with Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.

State Aid

Broadband projects are too often disrupted by the problems of state aid.  GreySky are supporting projects in Northumberland and Sunderland to address the problems of state aid - whether avoiding state aid, or gaining EU approval.
