One of the most important success factors for a new business is access to support from people who have “been there and got the t-shirt”. An experienced mentor may not be able to solve all of a new entrepreneur’s problems, but they can make a real difference in reducing the isolation involved in starting and running a business.

GreySky supports different established programmes to mentor a range of different entrepreneurs - from young people through The Prince’s Trust, to digital technology experts in the Institute of Digital Innovation in Middlesbrough.

People are increasingly turning to the internet for all aspects of help and advice. Face-to-face meetings with an understanding mentor are incredibly valuable, but it’s not always possible to have a meeting when it really counts. Online mentoring and advice services are becoming increasingly popular as a means of providing far quicker and more convenient access to the ideas and answers that people need.
